It's a cold and rainy day here. My mom came over around noon and we organized some of the boxes that I still have all around my house. We emptied out 4 big boxes of old school work and stuff. I had about a thousand surveys from my high school journaism days, I had no clue I still had them. I threw a lot of it away but plan on posting some of my old English papers and notes and stuff up on a blog somewhere, maybe on a new blog. I don't know for sure yet.

The rain isn't just in my neck of the woods, it seems. They forcast rain and storms along the Gulf Coast up through my area and then snow up north. I am so glad I don't live up there, the rain is cold enough as it is. Brr.

I stained the deck some yesterday and it didn't bead up like the other parts I've stained did. I am going to have to go over it again. D;;

Well tonight we're going out to dinner with my Grandma for her 80th birthday. Happy Birthday Momo! We're going to Greenwoods, which is somewhat fancy, and I get to wear my new Asian inspired top that I just fell in love with when I saw it. It's maroon with gold embroidery and beading, it's very elegant.

I'm not feeling so well today, but I took a semi-long shower and am relaxing in my PJs for the time being, so I'll feel up to dressing up come dinner time.

My sister, it turns out, has a kidney stone. She's not so happy about that but at least it's not appendicitis. She's at home recouperating but spent the night in the hospital last night. I'm surprised mom didn't go to be with her but that's a sign she's all grown up, I suppose. (My younger sister is the youngest child)
