My cat has gotten very whiny the past few weeks. I don't know why she has gotten so hungry for attention. She was never like this at our old apartment in Dawsonville.

Sometimes she whines when she's feeling sick, I can understand that. (A few days ago she ate some plastic and had a tummy ache til she barfed it up.. poor girl)

But most of the time she's meowing and meowing just to get attention; to have us play with her, pet her, look at her, and of course feed her. I just don't know why it has gotten so insistant.

I was reading the forums at TheCatSite.com, and read that it might be male cats outside spraying. She's spayed, but that could still drive her nuts. But I don't know why it would be all of a sudden like this.

She was around other cats, some unaltered males, in Dawsonville, but she didn't like them. She doesn't like other cats, so I don't know why she would be "missing" them now.

My sister says she needs a friend cat, but that just isn't going to happen. I don't want another cat, for one, but also I wouldn't feel right getting a cat that she wouldn't get along with just so she'd be quiet.

*Sigh* She's just getting on my nerves. She was a very mellow cat before, but now she seems discontent. It may be that we're not letting her go outside, she does enjoy going outside. But in this new location it makes me really nervous to let her out. She likes to roam too much.

Anyways, that's my cat rant. Garfield, behave!

Has she ever gone through a move before? She might be distressed about the change of location.

That really may be it, along with the change from being able to go outside to not going out at all. I feel bad, because she really seems distressed at times. This morning she sounded like she was truly in pain, but she just wanted to go outside. But I really do take good care of her! >.<

(I'm sorry your comment didn't get published quickly, I had turned on comment moderation for this blog.. don't know why! I need to do that for Faeriebell's Blog, and not here. ^^)

Cute picture! Maybe Garfield would like a kitty condo since they like high places and hiding spots. You can also buy a little patch of grass to satisfy their craving for vegetation. Not house plants though, that can get messy. ;) Every kitty is different. Try all kinds of toys to keep them entertained. Good Luck!
